Replace or Reset the Diggers Rubber Tracks

If your track has been detached or you wish to adjust the tension on it please follow these instructions.

Raised digger

Locate the machine on firm level ground and lower the bucket and dozer blade onto the ground to allow the machine to raise, the track you wish to adjust should now be slightly off the ground.

The adjustment tensioner is located behind the track adjustment window

Using a 30mm Open ended spanner undue the track adjuster lock nut.

15mm Ratchet spanner

Using a 15mm Ratchet spanner loosen the track adjuster so that the length of the two track runners is reduced.

You should now be able to remove the track or be ready to reset the track in position.

Set the track over the drive and guide wheels ensuring the track drive cams are in the centre.

Ensuring No people or loose parts or clothing are near the tracks start the machine and at very low speed allow the tracks to run so that the track runs freely in position.

Stop and disable the machine from running.

Using a 15mm ratchet spanner tighten the adjuster clockwise until tension is applied to the track, then tighten the 30mm lock nut to 20nm.

Raise the dozer blade and Bucket too lower the machine onto the ground.
